There's been so much pent up in the small space of my tiny brain now, and of course, matters of art has always been a major part of my thoughts. Okay...where should i actually start.

Discrimination, yeah. To all artist in the world~ yeah i mean ALL of you. When you start discriminating certain styles, whatever it is, you don't know art. When i mean, you don't know, i mean, you don't know anything at all.

Since when has artistic values of an art piece differs to styles? Mainly when we talk about discrimination, it relates to the 3 biggest influences, or so people define them; anime(eastern), western, or conventional art. As an artist, one should NEVER be confined to the limits of styles. What's the fuss about assuming other styles inferior to your own? Since when is there a difference when it comes to artistic value?

Look again, observe, throw away those biased thoughts, they ain't giving you the ability to properly judge. Your ego won't do any good, clouding your visions as an 'artist'. And when you can truly be honest to yourself, that is when you can judge as a true artist.

I mean, what makes you better than others? It isn't style. It never was. It is yourself, your own skills, not what style you're indulged in. Who said there are no excellent artists drawing anime style? Who said that western style is too stiff and typical? Who said that conventional art isn't creative? Since when do you have the right to classify values of an artwork to it's style? Look around you. There are quality works from each and every one style. And as an artist, shouldn't you have the passion to try out each and every style? Instead of discriminating and underestimating other styles?

Take in mind, then when one starts to decide, that "this is the style i want", without going through sufficient experiences through different styles, you are killing your chance to keep developing. And who the hell started to classify anyway? Isn't it better to classify each and every style exclusive to their respective creators? Have you thought of what an artist would feel, when he spent a lifetime creating a style that is his own, and you classify them? "Oh it's anime style", "Oh, western", and the likes.

In the end it came back to the question of discrimination. Freedom of art, won't come from a discriminating mind. You are not free, you are not able to accept others, you are confined. With that in mind, your art won't be able to touch people's heart, you won't be creative; creativity teaches the concept of accepting and an open mind afterall.

Your art won't save anybody.
